James Foods Helps Put the Family Dinner on the Table

catering, food, james foods, tim james,

Tim James built a reputation catering to the finest tastes in North Carolina.

He still does, though through a much different method of delivery.

In 2006, James closed his catering business and opened James Foods in Asheboro, preparing dishes for packaging and delivery. He launched his company with three products: chicken potpies, meat lasagna and spinach-and-artichoke lasagna.

James continued to add menu items, including macaroni and cheese, a Moravian chicken potpie, and dessert treats such as apple crisp and blackberry and peach cobblers.

The dishes are packaged in two sizes: a family-sized serving, which is distributed through local grocers under the James Foods brand, and a food-service product that serves between 10-15 people. James Foods’ customer base includes restaurants, hotels and nursing homes.

James Foods also operates a small retail shop at 430 N.C. Highway 49S, adjacent to its 50,000-square-foot warehouse. Customers can drop by to pick up their favorite foods at the retail store, which is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
