G-Force Supplies Sunday Drivers

For years, Long’s Machine & Tool has been a reliable provider of drivelines – the system of differentials, drive shafts and other parts that help determine how fast a vehicle can run.
In 2005, officials at the Pennsylvania company decided to get a little closer to the action by opening G-Force South in Asheboro.
G-Force South assembles, sells, leases and services the products made by Long’s Machine and Tool. The Asheboro location ensures a quick response to the needs of NASCAR and other racing-circuit teams that call North Carolina home, says Eddie Cagle, the company’s vice president.
While the auto-parts market is becoming increasingly competitive, G-Force South is easily holding its own.
“I doubt there’s a car that runs on Sunday that doesn’t have something out of here,” Cagle says. “We’re the only manufacturer-direct supplier of drivelines in NASCAR.”
The company employs 15 in sales and service at its 54,000-square-foot Asheboro facility. All of its employees, including Cagle, have had extensive experience in motor sports before joining G-Force.
